No Turrets Allowed GB 8/05 - 2/06

I know there is a huge lot of group builds going on, but for LATER, like August going into 2006, I would like to maybe have a “No Turrets Allowed” group build for all non-turreted armor (sorry, no halftracks)… Examples are Stugs, Sturmtigers, SP guns, etc… what do you think?

Would this include recce vehicles ARVs or Artillery tractors?
I have my eye on a Stuart recce vehicle is why I ask.

I’m getting addicted to group builds. I have some kits I could use for this group build.

Great idea! That will make it easy for me to justify buying the Dragon 1/35 Nashhorn I’ve always wanted. Otherwise I’ll do my Tamiya 1/35 StuG with this build.

Never met a group build I didn’t like, I’m in.

Well, I will build one of the ones I don’t do for the tank killer build. Either a Hetzer, Jagdtiger, Stug III or IV or a Jagdpanzer IV. Will decide before the build and change my mind 12 times

jason, that’s my kind of thinking… Deusmex, that would be fine… Anything with a full track. I’m going to be building a Sturmtiger. And like jason, I will change my mind 12 times also.

Great, I’ll start keeping track and so its another group build thrown onto the stack.

Maybe a StuG with mesh schurtzen (did they have it?) I love the look of that stuff and by then my skills should be up to the challenge!

I really like that little stuart kit but a quick look at Accurate Armours site and I ve seen quite a few Id like to do. I need to stay away from that place , my finances cant handle the shock of their prices.

If I’m not busy with procrastinating later in the year, I might be able to pull something out of the stash. Of course I’ll commit then fade out the Group Build like always.

Put me down for the Jagdpanther. Not sure if it will be DML or Tamiya.

I’ve already built a Stug IV. Can I be the Official Morale Officer (OMO) for the GB?

I might go for it. It depends what I have going at the time. I’ll let you know down the line If thats ok.

I’d be game - something off the beaten path, maybe one of those Italian jobs, or somewhere I have a picture of a Japaneese “ram tank” - not sure I could find it in kit form though

Sounds like an interesting idea. I can’t commit to the build yet, but as the time for it draws closer, we’ll see how it goes.

hmmm… I’ve seen some info regarding the new Jagdpanzer IV that’s due out from Dragon, and may do that instead. I’ve seen some conflicting info though, some sites said it was coming out Feb 26 and others show it not coming out until sometime this month. Anyone happen to know what the scoop is? [?]
