Hi guys! yesterday in my job (i´m working on the quality control on a lemon packing) I got injurierd checking a machine in my right index finger, I colud lost both my firger, maybe my hand, luckyly I have a quick raction and retired my finger on time, and “only” got a exoposed fracture and some damage in the finger´s tip.
the doctors toldme I´m facing a 2 months recuperation if the things don´t turn uggly (I´m praying do not), but still i´m happy I because the things could get worse.
This week I recived 4 kits, and I was ansious to finish the one i´m building and start with those, but I will have to wait, in the mid time I will countinuing participating on the forum, al least to “feel” some kit´s building hehe
Sorry to hear of your injury Jeremias. Wishing you a full & speedy recovery. I had an eye injury three years ago that kept me off the bench for almost 6 months, so i know how you feel.
sorry to here of your accident, I worked in pressroom on 4/color press’s for 41 years (now retired) I have seen lots of guys get caught in the press, not pretty. very glad you were not injured worse than you were, get well soon, and be careful on those machines.
That’s awful! Luckily, you managed to get your finger outta there before it got REALLY ugly! I really hope you have a speedy and full recovery, and can get back to the bench very quickly.
In the meantime, if those new kits need a home, I’ll PM you my address…
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Jeremias! I am very glad to hear that your unfortunate injury was not a ssbad as it could have been! Now, lots of r&r time to catch up on all those things that get set aside [8D] ! Again, best wishes for a full and speedy recovery; we will miss your greta builds and have more to look forward to!
Sorry to hear about your accident. I am left handed. Several years ago I had an accident and lost the tips of my index finger and the one next to it. The third finger was severely damaged and the knuckle removed. I underwent a lot of therapy to learn how to use my hand again. I even learned how to pick up small parts again. I’m sure you will have to do therapy too. It’s painful but it works. Here’s hoping you have the same success which I did.
Sory about you injury Jeremias, and wish you well. I’m also glad it was not as serious as it might have been. Hopefully you can still “peck” at the keyboard!
You can use the down time to do research on the kits you intend to start when than hand of yours is back in working order. If there is one thing I have learned in my many years on this planet if you really want to you can always find a way to be productive even when it seems you have a setback. What is it you said you did ford a living, working for Ford?[oops]
Sorry to hear about your injury. I cam sympathize as I injured my left wrist last year and had to have surgery to repair some of the damage in it. I was unable to use my hand for a few months for model building. With prayer and therapy I know that you too will recover. Get well soon and happy modelling.
A speedy recovery! I had a nasty laceration in my hand some months ago, got me out of the bench for a few months. patience, good luck and one day at a time! buena suerte
