Welcome to the No More Excuses Group Build.

This group build is dedicated to the unfinished kits that have been started and now take up space and are collecting dust. Now’s your chance to finish them, the rules are simple;

    1. The kit must already be started but not finished. Any stage of construction is acceptable.
    1. The build cannot belong to an active group build.
    1. Age requirement: One year must have passed since you started the model.
    1. Any scale, time period, both real and fictional, and any category: land, air, sea and space.
    1. Out of the box, scratch built, PE, resin. - Whatever makes you happy.
    1. Please post pictures of your progress.
    1. There is no limit to the number of builds you can enter.
    1. Most of all, you must have a great sense of humor and have fun (being a procrastinator helps).

The start date will be December 15th 2008. Open enrollment during the life of the build, and it will end August 1st 2009 (subject to change). After all, we are procrastinators. So wipe off those dust queens and get them finished. I will post pictures of your completed build on the following page.

New end date will be 31 December 2009.

Question for you Roy, do we list all of our “Shelf Queens” or just the ones that we can reasonably hope (there’s that hope word again) to finish in the span of the GB?

Also, if I listed all the unfinished kits that were given to me like you did I would have about a dozen more [:O] Do these really qualify since they’re actually the result of someone else’s procrastination?

Roy, if there is ever a GB I need to join its this one!! I have several unfinished kits sitting on the shelf that…well, just need to get FINISHED!! Some of them are unfinished from GBs that have ended, some are just ones that I started and never had a chance to finish.

I believe I may have a contender: my 1/32 Trumpeter P-38L. I think I may have entered it into a Gb at one time, but that’s way past, I started the kit February 2005 and have not done much since.

If you feel this one qualifies, count me in as a fellow procrastinator! Having a deadline may help!

LOL what a great idea… of course, I will break my no-more GBs until I finish some promise for THIS GB, and give myself a 50% of actually finishing something lol

I have a 1:35 Tamiya Stug IV, 25% complete from the long dead Arty GB from last year

and a Tamiya Zero I was targetting for the Pearl Harbor GB… about 0.05% complete, I washed the sprues! [(-D]

Well, I’m new to GB’s and what better way to start somthing than put it off? [:D] I made a small list of projects that I will “sign up” for. By the way, Calvin and Hobbes badges are the best! I like Weekend GB '08 the best! However, for this one, the badge with the cat is awesome!!! Since I’m new to this section, can somone give me a few “words of wisdom” concerning these? Or is it just straightforward? Time to hit the bench!!! (well, it can wait another day…)
