After searching various websites, it looks to me like there are NO detail sets
for the B-24 in 1/48. What’s up with that? I can’t believe even Eduard doesn’t have any PE for it.
have u checked www.google.com it might help
blackcat
how odd, the only thing I could call a detail beyond canopies was a set of wheels… hmmm… I’ll look around and see what I can find elsewhere (besides squadron and greatmodels)
try hannats and look up paragon designs
Also go to Meteorprod.com and type in B-24 in their search function. Cutting edge makes some pricy conversions.
You can find Koster sets at Great models web site
Engines and things makes different P&W engines that fit b-24’s.
Which B-24 detail are you loking for?
Koster makes vac canopies, turrets and PBY conversions. Squadron also makes vac canpois and other pieces.
Flightpath makes an extensive PE set for the “J” - go to www.greatmodels.com. The product number is “fp48025”.
Engines and Things, I sure there are others too, make resin engines.
True Details makes resin wheels.
Aires and others make resin and PE machine guns.
Hope this helps - be sure to post pics.
that’s one thing I have learned to dislike about Greatmodels… you have to put in an aircraft designation 15 different ways to see everything they have… I did the search for b-24 and b 24, didn’t even think to try b.25 (which would have pulled up this)
sorry for the rant, I just went through this trying to find something for a FW 190 and thought it odd it was keyed in so many different ways…
I have also had difficulties finding AM parts for the Revell/Mono B-24D. I have the squadron canopy and nose, but I can’t find turrets. Folks talk about Koster. Can someone direct me to the Koster Aero website?
Thank you.
Aires and Engines-n-things both have a P&W 1830 engine.
The Aires set looks a little nicer. Any input?
Cutting Edge also had one, but I didn’t like the look of it.
