"No arms allowed" GB

Cast, The airfeild tractor hasn’t been started. Put me down for both the staff car, and the airfield tractor

Sorry for the misunderstanding

Ken

Cas,

Put me down for an Eastern Express 1/35 BRDM-U. Soviet Army Prague, 1968.

06JUL works for me. i am doing an insane BM-21 for the orphan armor GB which doesn’t start until aug. the russian URAL 4320 6x6 cargo truck has the same frame and i can practice breaking things on the frame so the front wheels turn and the rear wheels adjust up and down. i have a scene for the BM-21 i am going to replicate.

Done lewbud [:)]

Darn, wish I could figure how to post pics. Halfway through tamiya’s field kitchen.looking pretty good too. This may morph into a diorama

Upload your pix to a photo sharing website like Photobucket. Click on your pic. Beside it will be a link. Click on that and it will say “copied”. If it does not say “copied”, just do it with right click, you know, copy and paste function. Come back to this forum, click on “use rich formatting”, paste the link. Done. You welcome. [:)]

Castel: here’s a possible badge…if you’re ok with it, all I need is the end date.

I can make changes, ie. font, color, etc…just gimme an idea of what you’d like.

Thanks Pyrman, it looks good [:)] . I was thinking to run the GB for 6 months, so end date would be January 6th 2015.

Cheers…[t$t]

Cas I’m going to do the airfield tractor as well as the Army staff car!!!

Cas, I’ve decided on Italeri’s 1/35 Commando Hum-V, despite the fact that it’s a command HMMWV. I’m also going to try my hand at printing my own decals to give it markings for my old truck from when I was stationed in Germany.

is this a go?

you are a glutten for punishment. i have an EE ZSU-23/2 that may never get finished.

OK. there are 4 hours and 15 minutes until start time

It’s 7:45 here now Eastern Time USA

[8-|] [:D]

And here is the first pic of the tractor. Looks like it will be an easy build. I did a 1/48 scale Jeep to go with my PBY Catalina, I’m willing to bet the staff car will be somewhat hard to like the jeep.

OK gentlemen, we are open for business. I hope you all had a good 4th of July party, now it is time to open your boxes and smell the glue…[:)] [t$t]

Okay, here are a few mock up pics.

If any has built this, is there glass for the windshield? I can’t find it.

I just took a look in my B-24 box and didn’t see any on the clear parts sprue or any mention for them in the instructions. Might have to scratchbuild something out of packaging plastic. Looking good so far!

Thanks Bob, I was hoping I just didn’t see it, Oh well. I have some clear plastic sheets. Now, I just have to find them.

did some more research and i will be doing the 1/35 trumpeter URAL-4320 soviet 6x6 as a civilian vehicle. black chassis, orange color and will make a canvas tarp for the cargo bed.

like the german UNIMOG 4x4s, many of these military vehicles were transferred to other government agencies.

I was looking at pics on google for my airfield tractor. It was manufactored by the Cleveland Tractor Company. I found that to be somewhat interesting.

There is also a web site called www.Cletrac.org. Looks interesting.

However, the pictures I found show a canvas cover over the seats. I’d like to replicate the canvas roofing, but I havn’t a clue how to do this. I can do the bars for it, but whats the best way to make the canvas?

I’m totally open for suggestions here.

I’ll be looking forward to see yours Wayne. Maybe I can copy yours, If you don’t mind that is.

Thanks
