NMF Rub-off problems Alclad and Spaz-stix

I have chrome Spaz-stix airbrushed on over Tamiya synthetic lacquer gloss black (awesome spray paint). Looks great, but it sure rubs off easy. I can barely touch anything I’ve airbrushed in this fashion. Is it like that with Alclad II also?

Most metallizers have that same problem. I normally use Testors in rattle cans so I can spray the smelly stuff outside. I’ve played around with Alclad a bit and it does not do that. Once it has cured it’s solid as can be.

I’m wondering if the problem is the seemingly rock solid sheet of that gloss black Tamiya spray paint. Maybe enamel is what I need to use to make it stick right. I guess I need to let some gloss black enamel dry for a couple of months & try it out heheheh

Alclad2 is the most durable NMF paint I’ve ever used. You won’t encounter that level of problem with it.

i’ve never experience lift using Alclad2. later.
