Next Project Underway.

I hope I haven’t bitten off more than I can chew with this one.

This is my Academy 48th F-111c and I’ve decided to build it with it’s flaps and slats out.

This is really new ground for me and my scratch building abilities will be pushed to the limits.

All won’t be lost if I make a mess of it though, as an Australian company make resin wings to suit this. At $100+ dollars I won’t be buying them unless I need them.

The point of no return has been reached.

Here are some photo’s of my butchery. ANy tips to make this job easier will be MUCH appreciated.

Before

After.

Wondering if I’ve done the right thing.

Thanks guys.

Mark

Looking good so for

Bud

I wish Bud,

I put too much heat into the wings while i was using my die grinder to thin the plastic and now my wing is all warped.

The flaps and slats have glued together ok but they will require a lot of work to make them look ok.

If I can get it together it’ll be another first in my short modeling sojourn.

Well she’s looking good to me so for, keep going don’t give up
