Announced on Werner’s Wings Facebook page -
"Werner’s Wings is pleased to officially announce that Kitty Hawk will release a 1/35th scale UH-1D/H. The first issue will be a Vietnam era version. Future releases will include post-Vietnam and foreign Hueys.
Ray Wilhite and myself have been instrumental in the development of the CAD artwork.
What you see here is an early version CAD. Changes have been made. We are almost there."
They are expected to be ready in the winter/spring of '17. I am really looking forward to these as Kitty Hawk’s 1/48 UH-1Y and AH-1Z are awesome kits. These should be too.

Excellent news! I’ve followed the development of the CAD drawings in other forums with great interest and I’m greatly looking forward to adding a few of these to my collection. If the drawings are any indication of what we can expect to find in the box, the kit is going to be something special!
Wow! Great news! About time!!! I’m sure they will be expensive but worth it!
I just spoke with the Kitty Hawk representative Saturday at an IPMS show in Richmond, VA. He said the AH/MH-6 should be out by the summer and the Huey before the end of the year. So keep your fingers crossed.
Nice. Wish it was 48th though. Would love them to do a 48th or even 35th short body Huey as well.
No need to. The Academy/MRC UH-1C is an excellent kit. The SAR/Seminar UH-1B is also a pretty good kit. Not as good as Academy’s C, but close.
How about a new AH-1G in 1/48?
