Hi again… Well I have just completed my second JASDF F-4EJ in 1/72 scale… It will now compliment my 301 squadron JASDF F-4EJ… It turned out great except for one thing… I forgot to mask the canope before I dull coated the decals with flat spray… I normally do this before I put the canope on, but this time I didnt!.. Anyone have any suggestions as to get the mist y look off my canope?
The second aircraft I completed, was the Kawasaki T-4… This is the second T-4 that I have done… The first T-4 being the Blue Impulse version… For some reason it never grew on me, and I have always loved the grey scheme of the T-4, rather than the Blue Impulse scheme… I dont know why, but this little bird is starting to become my favourite, as I love the design and look of it… It truelly is a compact little fighter!
I currently have on the bench a JASDF F104 Starfighter, and also a Mitsubishi F-1 to compliment my Mitsubishi T-2… The F-1 is basically a T-2 with one seat, and painted camo!
Thanks for the comments guys… The T-4 is starting to become one of my favourite aircraft… I would now like to do about 10 of them in their various squadron markings!.. I forgot to mention that I also have a T-1B trainer jet on the bench aswell… I will be doing it in the JASDF 50th Aniversary Mt Fuji scheme!..
Thanks for the support guys… The Starfighter and the F-1 are not built yet, so thats why they look a little ordinary at the end of that picture there… I plan on decalling my T-1B trainer tonight…
Melgyver, thats a good idea about the canope, but I am going to have to do something about it… Little things just bug me like that… I feel that model companies should always put 2 canopes in each kit… Smart thinking I think?
The collection thus far…
1x F-15J
2x F-4EJ
2x Kawasaki T-4
1x Mitsubishi T-2
1x Mitsubishi F-1 (In progress)
1x F-104 Starfighter (In progress)
1x F-2
1x F-86 Sabre
1x T-1B (In progress)
1x Lockheed T-33… (Still to come)
looks good. I second the future solution. I tried one time to use thinner to get some overspray of dullcote off of a canopy and wound up with a smeared mess. Future saved the day on that one. I’m fixing to start Hasegawas 1/72 T-33 it has Japanese markings but I’m planning on doing it as a USAF or USMC bird.
Yes, I am searching around for a T-33 at the momment… If you dont need your Japanese markings, then I am happy to take them off your hands… I was actually going to start a thread about everyone having a decal swap… I sometimes have decals from countries that I dont use… For example, my Starfighter came with 2 sheets of decals… One sheet was entirly for the Canadian Airforce Version… I also have alot of US markings that I havnt used aswell…
The Hasegawa T-33 is an old kit… I am really interested in how you go with it… Please post as you build her!
