Modeling Subjects Ships

I have been modeling cars and planes for several years now. I just started getting interested in ships, but i have a few questions.

  1. Where can I find 1/700 figures? I saw a 1/700 LHD Essex with several figures all over. I have not been able to determine if they come with the model, or If I can buy them as an accessory(but i have not seen them for sale) Example : http://www.modelwarships.com/gallery/am/lhd-essex/700-pb/essex-index.html

  2. How do I make Spinning helicopter blades?

Those are my main two questions, I have many more, but we’ll keep it simple.

Hi, and Welcome,

I’m not so sure about where to get the figures, but to make the Helo blades in “motion” you cut a circle of aceatate and “frost it” by spraying with testors dull coat or acetone. You can make the darker “blades” by rubbing a pincil on the aceatate and smudging it.
