Hello to all! I am an avid model car builder of 25 years and have recently decided to start building model aircraft. I have no clue about the different types of aircraft but sure look forward to learning. I hope to have something in the works soon to post so everyone can see my first project. I look forward to sharing in my new found aircraft hobby. [:D]

We are a pretty crazy bunch of people, but a nice group of people. 25 years huh? Impressive ! Any question that you have, don’t be hesitant to ask.
Remember, the only question we won’t answer is one we weren’t asked to begin with.
(Does that make sence ? Yes, it does.)
I’ve found that everyone is as nice as those who’ve responded. This site brings a good sense of comradeship… one of the reasons i check the forum every day!
My first project will be a Revell A-10 Warthog. Hopefully it will be good enough that I won’t mind posting pics of it when it is done. Any tips about this project are always welcomed by you veteran aircraft builders out there. For now I am using books and pictures on the internet as reference since I am a newbie![:D]

Sounds like an reasonable choice to start with. What scale? You’ll find some helpful posts here. use the search for the A-10. Good luck & hope to see some pics[8-]
I just finished a revell a-10 a real good kit that went togather very well i done mine in the 3 tone European paint scheme of the 23rd fighter group i had several decals left over if you need any of the extra decals i have feel free to contact me and i will send them to you welcome and good luck with your aircraft project
welcome from me as well!!! This has to be the warmest group of people and most helpful I have come across… I came back into modeling after an almost 20yr sabbatical and this place has been wonderful for sharpening my skills!
No matter what aircraft you pick out (if there was more than one made) someone on here has either built it or researched it… so ask away!!!

My Warthog will be 1/48 scale. I also have a Heller F-86F Sabre in 1/72 scale to do. So far they are the only aircraft I have. I have about 250 model cars so convincing the wife that I need some model aircraft now will surely be a test in my ability to charm the wife.[:-^]
Welcome patsmods17! Im the same way I have so many a/c kits when a new one comes out I want ,its hard to get the wife to agree I need to spend more on it ,and all of the aftermarket stuff too![:D] After many years with cars I started Aircraft ,Ive had fun with it, hope you will too.[8D]
