I’ve been modeling for a long time now but until recently haven’t done any figures. Recently I’ve done a couple of 120 mm military figures. Been looking around for more to do. I’m looking for sources of 120 mm military figures. Any help would be appreciated. I’ve also noticed a lot of WWII German figures but not many US or Japanese. Am I missing something?
The Three Rivers Club in Pittsburg has a bunch of really good figure painters. The Red Lancer is located in Milton PA and has a great selection of figures.
120mm is somewhat limited by cost in resin or metal. The plastic manufacturers love to produce Germans.
At the end of April, MFCA holds its annual show at the Valley Forge Convention center. As an aspiring figure painter, it would be well worth the trip.
Google searches will turn up various web sites offering 120mm. You can also find 120mm on eBay by searching Toys & Hobbies and using 120mm in the search field.

You can look for the 1/16th scale Tamiya and Dragon plastic kits. Bunch on EBAY. They make Japanese and US figs. The detail is actually pretty decent and you can practice on them much less expensively than on a $50 + Resin kit.
Search YOUTUBE videos for Michigan Toy Soldier Company. Lot of great figure how to videos posted there.
Plus many of the early Verlinden 120mm figs can be bought very reasonably on the internet. They have many many US figures from different time periods.

Airborne miniatures has a nice line of modern figures. Colorado miniature carries a variety of subjects and companies Verlinden carries a few 120mm figs and also Deyung.
I’ve bought lots of figures lately from www.toy-in.com. they are resin recasts but more often than not are good figures and very low prices… from Asia. 1/16 scale, 1/10 busts, 1/35…
check 'em out.
