Build more and buy less. [A] yeah, whom I kidding? [6]
At my present pace, 2 finished last year, 2 WIP’s, it will take me 17 years to complete my stash, sans new purchases. I need to step it up in 2011. So many kits that I want, so few built. [:'(]
I am with you… build more and buy less! My last year resolution was to complete four GBs and I completed three GBs. I hoped to finish my fourth build in time for 2011 but it will not happen… only needs to be painted. For 2011, I’d like to shoot for four or five builds…
How about these?

Don’t acquire another kit without finishing one

Don’t start another project without finishing one on your production line

For every kit you acquire, give an older one from your stash to a youngster

For every kit you acquire, help a youngster finish one

Make a goal to give away several built models to veterans you know – maybe even quick finish some shelf queens, knowing they’ll never hit the contest table, and give these kits away to men/women who will be EXTREMELY grateful

Roy, you have some good advice. I was a good boy and resisted all temptation to get any new kits this Christmas. First time since I joined the forum. [A]
It’s going to sound crazy to many I’m sure…but I actually went the full year of 2010 without buying a single kit and actually sold off about a dozen or so via E-bay. Stash is still at a respectable 66 unbuilt subjects but that’s the lowest it’s been since around 2007 or so. [;)]
I hope to finish all these GB’s I have signed up for. Then, build more armor kits.
To get my post count to 229 .Then on to 10000.
To attend the AMPS nats and IPMS too

It’s a frickin disease I tell you, I am hooked - line and sinker! This is my stash and I haven’t even learned how to weather them properly yet:
That’s excluding the 5 Dragons I have coming…But with all the sales at SprueBros, how can you stop buying them?!? No, really, how can you stop buying them?
That was a great sale and I failed to take advantage. I just couldn’t justify adding to my already buldging stash.
OK…first lets look at last year and see how I did…for 2010 here were my resolutions
- Finish the web site - DONE…click on the Redleg2Scale below
- Get in at least 6 builds - Just missed, completed 5 and the T19 is 90%
- Maintain the low purchase profile - Welll sort of, with all my building the stash still grew by a few kits. Though this year was a major dropoff in purchasing…not there yet
- Try to attend AMPS International along with all the regional shows - Missed AMPS Internation 2010 but attended AMPS East and Misquitocon
- Write a few more articles for the mags - Finished 3 for 3 different mags
SOOO for 2011, here are my resolutions
