I snapped both vinyl tracks at about the mid-point for the 1/35 Italeri M47 Patton. Super glue doesn’t seem to hold, and until I can find another way of joining them, does anyone know of an aftermarket set, vinyl or otherwise, that’s available,
No AM set for it that I know of. You can always use staples or thread to sew them back together and secure them. Paint it like the rest of the track and hide the repair under a road wheel. No one will ever notice it.
JIM77, AFV Club is the only one that I know of that has a replacement set of T84E-1 tracks (#35037). These are workable individual link tracks so they take quite a while to clean up and assemble. They are also very fiddly and somewhat fragile (at least to me!) Great Models has them in stock and on sale for $11.50!
Despite all the work they look great on the Italeri M47:
Oh yeah. I think I blocked my experience w/the AFV Club T-80 tracks, the same set-up as thier T-84-E1s. They do look great, but are a b!t@h to put together. They have 4 pieces per link and are all very fragile. Good luck if you go with them. I ended up pulling my hair out then going with a set of DML indi-links for my M40 build.
Yes they will. Dragon doesn’t sell individual sprues or track though. Try one of the Buy, Sell, Trade forums at Missing-Lynx or Armorama to see if anyone has a spare set. That is what I did with my M40 GMC. They worked and look great.
