Hi everyone! I started building models when my dad got me hooked when I was in second or third grade. I took a bit of a break when I graduated high school and spent five and a half years in the Army. After getting out in 2005 and getting married, I finally got back into models about five years ago when I decided I needed to start building kits in my ever-growing stash. My interests are kind of all over the place with 1/48 and 1/32 WWII to modern aircraft, 1/35 armor, and sci-fi.

Welcome silentbob! You are in good company. Most of our stories are similar to yours. I did 21 years in the Air Force, never built any kits, just kept buying them! Now, I have over 445 to work on! Great assortment of genres too. I’m the same way. Mostly aircraft and sci-fi/real space, but have dove into some armor, and figures recently. Be sure to pop in to a Group Build. It’s a great way to learn some new stuff from the folks on the forums. Lots of great folks with lots of knowledge!
