Looks great,
Hope they release the Kearsarge or Alabama again. Those kits go through the roof on ebay.
I also have been looking for the America. I have had a lot of requests to build this one, and when finished, competes with a wooden one for detail. But have not seen it at all on ebay.

They re-released the America Yacht also.
This ship’s original name is the “Thermopolyae” ( I think that’s how it spelled). This was the only ship that could give the “Cutty Sark” a run for the money in the china tea clipper days. She was renamed “Pedro Nunes” by the Portugal when they bought her and than painted her white. It still couldn’t hide her graceful lines. This is one ship I would love to build again. I built the Cutty Sark 3 times.
If they are re-releasing old ship kits, I would like the USS HARTFORD, The ones Ive seen on ebay have been out of my price range.
The USS Hartford was an Aurora kit, not a Revell kit. (That’s why the prices are so high.)
I, too, woudl love to have one, but not at those prices…!

Thanks Bill,
I wonder what happened to the moulds?. I’ll have to start doing the lottery again. [ a fool and his money are soon parted ]. if I am to get one off of ebay.
I found out on EvilBay that some people know what they have and want top $$ for it and when you get it it’s a major disappointment for the amount spent, so I keep with one subject and bid on all of the items offered and more then likely I’ll land one for my top bidding price
There is more to the Thermoployane then giving the Cutty Shark a run for its money. It was the fastest of all cargo ships and with a on time delievery rate of 99%.Number two was the Star of India with the Cutty Shark in thrid.I would like to see a model of the Star of India made. The Star is still here today and is berth in San Deigo,CA.Digger[:)][C):-)][:)]
