I’ve somewhat learned to use Corel Rave, a subset to CorelDraw11 that makes .GIF animations and this is the latest edition of my GB Badges.
Nice animation John ! Maybe one day I will make something like this for myself [:)]

Looks great, John! How do find time to build models, AND do all of that fancy computer stuff? [swg]
I’m retired, I don’t sleep much, and I get really bored once in a while…[:)]
Are there any free versions of this or similar software that one can download which will allow .gif animations to be made?
I’m not sure, Frank. I don’t think it takes that much of a program if you want to spend the time making each frame, and if you really know the nuts and bolts of how the programs do it. Once it is all done, the gif is the same as a movie, it just shows one frame at a time. To make a gif that just substitutes one image for another should be pretty simple, if you knew the code for telling it how many frames to show of each image and when to change. I did do some searching on the web before I figured out that the needed program was already on my computer as a part of CorelDraw 11. I think you might buy an earlier version of Corel, like 9, that may also have Rave and it might not be too expensive. I gave up the search once I tried RAVE, so there may be something out there.
Paint Shop Pro can do animation. I use an old version 7 but I think even 6 had this option. I use this software for all kind of picture and grapics jobs since version 4.6 - while than it was a shareware. Now it maybe be owned by Corel. I am not sure about it.
It used to be a very compact and handy tool- and very inexpensive than [:)]
Will photoshop do the same thing?
Roy
for 10x higher price than Paint Shop Pro I think it should [:)]
Really? I know that Corel now owns it, and I have the 9.0 version of it. But, I didn’t know it could do animations as well. What tool do I use for that?
[tup]Very cool I already have photoshop[:D]

I have a license for ver 9 but still use 7.x [:)] I like small applications and can not stand those apps loading for few minutesbefore they show a welcome screen
