I just saw on “The Modeling News” that Atori Bunka has two new 1/350 scale light cruiser ship kits coming out soon. They are the USS Atlanta CL-51 & the USS San Diego CL-53. Has anyone ever heard of the model company “Atori Bunka” before? Both look like possible purchases for me down the line.

Nice,but it’s beyond me why no one is coming out with a new tooled 1/350 SMS Emden,Flyhawk put out a 1/700 maybe they’ll do a 1/350
I feel the same way as you do but I’m waiting for a 1/350 USS America CV-66.

I’ve built the Very Fire version which was a nice kit. I wonder if they are related somehow.
I’m still waiting on the 1/350 USS Baltimore CA68; which has been on their list. My last hope is a 1/350 HMS Nelson/Rodney. Maybe someone could add the USS Brooklyn CL-40 to the list to top off my collection.

What was the scale of the Revell Emden?

Well, no results on Scalemates, and using DuckDuckGo mostly just links back to the IPMS news article. There’s an InstaGram post which asks if these are the Very Fire kits reboxed. No answer to that.
In Japanese Atori renders as “Atoli” and Bunka as “culture” (bunka is also a style of Japanese embroidery).
