Wow, this stuff works great guys , I got the Idea from a fellow at my local LHS. After I saw his Abrams 3ID w/ it I had to try it , it works great all you do is paint it on and it is acrylic so it plays nice the surface is as close to the real thing as I have seen I am trying it out on Tamiya’s OIF Abrams and I will have some pics up soon Please forgive me if someone has already suggested this, here is the product website, it can be purchased at Garden Ridge, or Hobby Lobby craft stores in the acrylic paint section.
thanks for the tip
ive got a Tamiya Challenger 2 that needs a non slip surface, i dont know why Tamiya cant get it on there first
Thanks for the info. I was going to use Mr. Surfacer for my Abrams and Chally 2, but this looks a lot easier. Do you know what color your friend used? I guess the best color to use would be neutral beige.
yeah I used the neutral white looking color, it helps me know where Ive put it after its applied I am letting mine dry as we speak , and it is looking great I cant believe how easy this stuff is you just paint on a few coats and thats it I will post some pics when I get it all on.
I have tried this material before…my only comment would be the size of the grains…they are (a lot) too big…anti-slip is very fine and even in its grain size…so I will stick to the CASTaCOAT of Mr Surfacer (which is a little rounded for my liking and No, I will not put it thru my airbrush…
CASTaCOAT on a M1A3
