Im kinda new to the model building thing i just want to know if its better to start with the 1/144 or just go with the 1/100 kits, i also what tools if any will i need if anyone can help me i would appreciate it, i know i posted ealier for my students but i want to to this withmy kid brother at home also so i want ot make it like a weekend thing with my kid bro, and expand my hobbies into more now.
Welcome to the forum. There are three types of stores you should become familiar with.1: 99 cent stores (dollar tree also counts) 2: Wal Mart 3: and last but not least Harbour Freight. The most use ful tools to me are exacto knifes, flush cutting snips (toe nail clippers will work too) small files tweezers and sandpaper. You could probably build a model with just these items but lets look at some other things. Clamps (or clothes pins), airbrush (and a source of air) I started out with spray cans but for scale effect nothing beats an air brush (proper training helps though). You could probably find anything you need at Harbour Freight and there prices are great but dont look past the other 2 as they can be very useful too.
Just go online and you should be able to find a store address cause I think theres a few your way. I live in Riverside myself so I dont know any down that way.
