[sigh] I guess it would depend on your skill level and how much time and effort you want to invest in it.
I would get it, but that’s just me.
I’m building the old DML kit #6050 for the TD group build. I used a Jordi Rubio barrel which is 12mm shorter than the kit barrel. I extended the barrel 12mm by splicing a portion of the kit barrel to the new barrel at the breech end.
And if disastermaster’s calculations are correct, the kit barrel is the correct length, because the overhang measurement is approximatley 3 1/4 inches.
As far as the Eduard barrel being to short, it was my understanding that the barrels made by Eduard, Aber and Lion Roar are the correct length. Only the Jordi Rubio barrel is too short.[censored]
The proportions of this barrel look correct as far as I can tell by comparing them to pictures of real Jagdtigers (not the Aberdeen Jag). I’ll try and post some pictures later on today of my Jagdtiger, I’ll try to get pics that shoe the entire barrel in relation to the edge of the front hull.
Here is a picture of my DML Jagdtiger with a lengthened Jordi Rubio barrel. It is the same length as the kit barrel. And according to disastermaster’s
calculations, this would be the correct length. Sorry about the crooked marking on the ruler, guess I can’t see straight anymore.[X-)] The mark is set at 3 1/4 inches (Using the top scale) I hope this helps!

Hey guys,
Great little discussion we have here by the way [:)] I brought my new DML Jagdtiger at the NATS in Atlanta (only $27!!). So in conclusion, do I need to lenghten the barrel or is it OK? I don’t want it to look like it just fired BTW [;)]
And would it even be possible to glue plastic to aluminum? Just wonderin’,
