Recently picked up a brand new DML M4A3 105mm Sherman with HVSS suspension. Its equiped with a working HVSS suspension like their Easy 8 “Thunderbolt VII” but unlike that kit which has T-66 “Magic track” this one has T-80 steel chevron track molded in DS gluable vinyl. The kicker is that the hollow center guide pins are slide molded in hard styrene and are supposed to be glued to the vinyl track. I’m probably not gonna get to this one for a while but anyone got any ideas on how this is gonna work? My experience with the glueable vinyl tracks used by Tamiya has been pretty good (I usually use good old Testors liquid or a medium gel CA with pretty good results). Yes I really do use kit supplied tracks every now and then. Can’t afford Friul or MK tracks all the time. If I happen to start on this one in the near future will give ya all a report. Got a 1/48 M-26 Pershing on the bench right now along with a 1/35 Char b (picked the hardest paint job for the Char and I might have to rethink that a bit). Rick “Marty” Martin
Thanks for the info [tup]
I heard the turret on that kit is wrong, is that true?
Hi Brian,
Not the turret but the mantlet is 2.5mm too narrow, see here:

That’s very interesting considering that Dragon’s new M4s are pretty darn accurate. I wonder how something so simple could have been over-looked?
