Nice figure painting.
Not too bad, although I’m not partial to the tree, just looks like a branch from a real tree was inserted into the scene, the needles from the tree are as big as daggers, but the painting is pretty good on these.
Pretty good painting all around.
“The General” is far and away the best piece here. It really looks like something is happening between the two figures. I’m not crazy about the sub machine gun he’s carrying but I can accept theat as a possibility. I don’t recall a seeing pics of a senior grade officer carrying something lilke that, except maybe MacArthur on his return to the Philipines.
Better groundwork on the A/T gun would have made a better scene. but I likle that the grass is tramped down where the figures are. The other two look like a line up of figures on a base with little going on. The most problematic figure of the bunch in the crounching VC. His right foot is posed in an impossible position. The builder should have repositioned the ankle to maintain contact with the ground as it fell away. the cord on his pith helmet should have been weighted withgravity in mind. There’s a kink on the figure’s right that doesn’t look right.
