I have been out of the loop of plastics for about 15 yrs. now! I am building a tank and want to know if I should give it a coat of gloss before I give it an accent wash, or should I wash over after a dullcoat spray?? Any help wpould be great.

I always use Future sprayed on with an airbrush befor I weather my models but I use an oil based wash. Did you use enamel or water based paint for you base color? Welcome back!
Thanks for the reply, I used enamel. I paint my figures with oil, so I guess I would use an oil wash since I am comfortable with oils. Thanks again!
You’ll need a clear coat (Future) to apply the decals anyway. Cause decals do not adhere very well to a flat surface.
I use oil-based washes in combination with other weathering techniques, and I never gloss-coat my models. Admitedly, it would make washes flow much easier, and it is much more of a controllable technique if applied over a gloss.
