Howdy gang! here is the finished cargo floor…no weathering yet.
How is the ramp on the Ch46 connected to the main body?
Is it tight, a gap, seperate points or hinged?
Thanks!

Wait till I get to hydrualic lines and the fuse panel…heheheheh [:p][;)]
The center floor covering is untreated 600 grit sand paper…I plan to cover all the sections on the ramp with it.
Funny how the ‘ramp’ layout is almost 100% correct but the cargo floor was just kinda well…
The Kit shows three plastic stub/contact points on the ramp to body…is that even close?
Man, you did an awsome job with that floor. Great ingenuity. Standing by for further…
I can’t remember exactly how the ramp attached to the fuselage, but I know that when the ramp was up and everything back aft was buttoned up, it was a tight fit with no daylight coming through.
This isn’t the greatest pic but it may help:

Nice deck though![:)]
Trying the pic again…
And another:

Boy! We’re rolling now!
I guess you can say were really on a ROLL with this one…[^]
Thanks for the pics!
I should be done with the ramp section tonight.
The rear ramp is hinged at the floor level so there’s no gap going from the ramp to the cabin floor. There is a panel on the belly of the fuselage just ahead of the rear ramp that is about nine inches wide and 88 inches across that is hinged at its forward edge and actuated by the ramp movement to move out of the way of the bottom edge of forward end of the ramp. You can just barely see one edge of the interior of it on the left side of the second picture above. The forward edge of the panel is straight and the aft edge is slightly curved.
The picture also shows how the upper aft end of the enclosure folds down on the sides and then pivots upward.
THANKS TAIL SPIN! [8D]
Lets ROLL!
Papa-Echo…
You have mail![:D]
Cool!
I just looked but its not there yet…could you find the original larger pic of the other ‘smaller’ ramp pic too?
Thanks!
There are four links in the email that will get you to the large sizes of the photos. Let me know if you don’t get them. [:)]
Thanks Dragon… Mail recieved!
Awesome job Papa-Echo -64!!! Love what you have done so far. Sure do miss that bird. Navy never should have giving up on them, but as time goes by, old out-new in.
Thank you James! [:D]
The ramp is looking even better so far!
