About freakin time lol.
I think they’ll sell a few of those.

Yeah, and the cool thing is, you won’t have to pay Hasegawa prices for it…
Wow very nice and yes, it’s about time…!! I like the fact that the control surfaces look to be positionable as well…
Over all detailing looks really good except for that funky seam in the area of the bombardiar section on the side of the fuselage…
As for the price, I say about $35… Looking forward to it that’s for sure!!
Flaps up,

MAN! you had me all excited! i only build 1/48th scale (i like the size and the availability of aftermarket parts)[:'(]
You might have to branch out. No doubt this will get to NZ and the price will be around $110 like everything with a wingspan of more than 10cm.
Them’s some BIG panel lines… Looks like they’re about 2 scale inches wide… Don’t need windows with that much daylight showing through the skin, lol… I’m not sure, but that tail position looks to be a bit “long” aft of the canopy too…
Rivet counter—you just don’t like it because it isn’t 40 years old…
I agree with you, Hans, as I think the tail looks too bulbous behind the canopy.
Heh… That, and it’s 1/72 scale… I ain’t a jeweler… I’m more of a blacksmith… But hey, I’d buy it if it was in 1/48th…
AND under 30.00…
Finally there is a new one.
But it isn’t 1/48.[:'(]
Doubt there ever will be, JM… Not that anyone could top Revellogram’s anyway… At least, not for 28.00 bucks a copy…
Revell will take theirs off the market soon, then someone will probably try to manufacturer a new one (probably Trumped-upeter), and retail it for 229.00… Then, after all is said and done with the new manufacturer and he’s got a buncha pre-order sales, Revell will re-re-release the ProModeler version with new tooling for $50.00 per… Then I’ll go buy the “new” Revellogram with the Hobby Lobby coupon for $30.00, lol…
did they say WHEN that is being released?

I’ve heard as early as this month…I love this kit and want to marry it–sight unseen…
Great Models has them for $21 on pre-order…!!! What a deal…
Thanks Manny, I hadn’t seen the Hyperscale review till now.
Owl: The Revell of Germany website states they’re taking pre-orders so a month does sound about right.
Normally I build 1/48 but I don’t have anywhere to put a four engine bomber so I’ve been buying them in 1/72nd. And I’ll most probably buy a few those. Nice looking detail and 35 bucks sounds a great deal better than Hasegawa/Tamiya/Trumpy (much as I love them) charging 70-90 bucks for a simular kit.
BTW: Found this new company in the UK doing nice noseart decals including a bunch for the B-17:
http://www.kitsworld.co.uk/index.php?CATEGORY=4&SUB=1
My only issue with them is some of their sheets have about a dozen B-17’s nose art but they direct you to buy another sheet of decals for the tail codes, a third for the raid tally paintings and on top of that you don’t even get national insignia. I’ve ordered a sheet for the nose art and the tail codes but am going to try to build everything else from spare decals.
Weird, but on Great Models website they have two new B-17’s listed for pre-order…One is Revell and one is Revell of Germany…about a $10 difference in price…wonder if both are the new mold???
The world wonders…
Looks to be cool, but I want one in 48th scale.
this is goin’ on the X-mas list! [:P]
