Well I normally do a write up as I build, but I got so into this kit that I simply forgot to take pictures… Also the fact that it is the old boxed Hasegawa kit, and there arent many parts, it didnt seem necissary…
I decided to do an Australian Mustang, and I decided to choose one based in Townsville because my mother lived there when she was a child and remembers Townsville being bombed by the Japanese…
I found this picture while studying the Aussie mustangs, and although I thought about doing an Aussie Mustang based in Japan during the occupation. I simply hate the fact that all Commonwealth aircraft were marked in British markings… So although the red kangaroo is missing from the center of the roundals, I liked the fact that these guys atleast had different markings…
So here is where I am at now, and I have taken a picture of it with my already built 1/32 collection… I have also decided to completely strip the p-40 that I have done, and re-do it in the brown green with white tale and blue white markings of the P-40’s also based in Townsville!..
Oh yeah, the mustang is far from finished, but wanted to take a pic of where I was at… Still alot of detail and markings to be put on it!
Ha ha, actually I am… But I am thinking that the Japanese aircraft will be moved out to the entry to be displayed with my 1.250 Yamato, and so that will then leave me some room for 2 American birds to take there place… After that, I dont know what I will do?
Ha ha ha, thanks guys… I am actually doing a little bit, then putting up, and then another little bit, put it back up… So I have just been doing a little bit here and there with this one… Decals are next!
Looks great, Chris; very nice, clean build! I thought space was at a premium in Japan. If you keep up these 1/32nd builds, you might just get evicted from the country![;)]
