I’m not a true card stock modeler. I get the models and print the parts on plastic sheet, then build the ship like I would scratchbuild any other model…except the parts are pre-drawn.
Hey- JEFF— Now you know how I got involved in the build of the S.M.S.KRONPRINZ. It is put out by MODELIK #12/98 ISSN1428-3840. It is 1/200 scale and boy, are there a lot of parts! When she,s done I,ll send a pic to the mag and hope they print it. I still can,t get anyone to show me how to post my own pics from here or photobucket. You know, no computereze, just plain english. I am glad someone else builds like this, because it certainly broadens the field, doesn,t it? I have a source for perhaps hundreds of ships. I just want the old REVELL stuff because,I remember how much fun I had building them. I sit here looking at my 1/200 liner EUROPA in paper and saying to myself, “do you really want to?” tankerbuilder
Go to the photobucket site and enroll. The basic service is free. Click the uploader button and follow the directions. Use the browser to find a picture on your drive and upload it. I don’t use the various label options, but there’s no harm in it.
When you have your picture uploaded, you’ll see it. Put the cursor on the picture and there will be a dropdown menu with a number of links. Pick the second one down (usually); it’ll be called “direct link” . Click on it once and it will copy it. Back at good ole FSM Forum site, in your text as either a new post or a reply, insert the following string of characters.
(img)(/img)
EXCEPT use [ and ], not ( and ). Put your cursor in between the two sets of brackets and paste the link from photobucket (ctrl V). You will see the link, not your picture, until you post your text. It doesn’t always work perfectly; there are a number of little glitchy things, but just be patient. Once you get used to it, you can find a picture on the www, download it to your computer, upload it to photobucket and post it in FSM in less than a minute!
TB - you resurect a six year old thread looking for Jeff Herne. Jeff doesn’t come around here anymore. Jeff used to work for FSM and was one of the moderators, but parted company several years back. Hasn’t been back since.
You’ll need to try to ping him elsewhere on the www
