Anyone heard of these. They clain their test show that paint has not dried out in 5 years. Here is their web site http://www.shipcamouflage.com/never_dry.htm
I have had paint in jars for years and it is still good. At $1.25 a jar, thats about what I pay at the LHS for a regular empty jar.
I have paint left over in my first attempt at taking up the hobby thats about 15 years old… testors 1/4 bottles and model master 1/2 bottles of enamals and they are still good today. Most of my other paints were bought in 2001 which makes em 3 to 4 years old now and I don’t have a single problem with drying paint… Model master, tamiya, pollyscale and humbrol…
basicly if you keep the lip of the bottle and lid as clean as possible so that paint won’t dry there and ruin the airtight seal you wont’ have a problem…
At the local hobby shops you can get a pack of 5 1/2 model master bottles (empy) for about $5.50… at craft stores you can get badger 3/4 oz bottles for about $1 and if you need a larger size they most always carry a larger size of badger bottle I think its 1.5 or 1.75 oz… might be 2 oz… for about $2…
saves on shipping…
Paint dries out if you dont’ have a good seal on the bottles… take care of your lids and bottles and your paint will last a llong time… esp enamals… :>
