With the recent interest in Brewsters, I thought I would put this up. This is the 1/48 Tamiya built oob, a long time ago. The colors are Humbrol and were applied with a Badger single action. The glass was masked with Micro Mask, painted on with a brush. I liked the orange triangles. You don’t see them too often. I have another one to do in the future. I’m planning to make it a pre war Navy, but not a yellow wing. Just something I like about Brewsters. I thought the pictures were a little better than they are. Sorry about the focus. Tried taking some more, and they are worse.
Wayne, do we need to do a Brewster GB? I want to do another in the Navy light grey scheme, sounds like that’s what you have in mind for your second build, too. When I have trouble getting the camera to focus sometimes it helps to increase the amount of light.
One thing about the Buffalo is with the Dutch, British, Finns, and the USN flying them there are a lot of paint schemes available. Yours looks nice in the Dutch scheme.
That’s a nice one Wayne…as a matter of fact I just finished the same one a week ago, I even went with the same decals. It’s a great model and you did a really good job on yours. Mine has the silver underside. Think I’ll post some pics tomorrow. [4:-)]
Thanks for the remarks, guys. As with everyone else, I know where the blemishes are. I even found I left off a part when I was looking for parts for Mel Sharskin. John, I normally don’t join group builds, because I build so slow. But I would be interested in one for the Buffalo.
