Needed: 120mm Colt 45

I’m attempting to convert the Verlinden Productions 120mm Vietnam 82nd airborne figure to a combat medic. The figure is based upon my neighbor, who was a medic and carried only a 45 and not the M-16 that comes in the kit. Since I normally build in 1/35, I do not have a stash of spare parts. Does anyone have a suggestion or a spare 45?

Will he be holding it or just packing? There are a number of figures available from Warriors,Verlinden, etc. that have holstered pistols. They didn’t change much, if at all, from the 20’s through the 80’s. There is a figure of a Marine Lieutenant from 1920 holding a .45 at arms length. That right hand might be good to use.

My concept is with a holstered weapon, but that could be amended. I’m not familiar with the resources available in this scale, so more specific information about the product lines and kit numbers that you wrote about would be appreciated.

Regarding your right arm right arm comment, I don’t know which kit you are referring too. The Verlinden figure that is my starting-point has the sleeves rolled-up. Perhaps the hand on the one your suggesting could be moved the Verlinden kit.
