Need wooden deck for Bismarck

Does anyone know where I can purchase an aftermarket WOODEN deck for the Tamiya 350 Bismark battleship . I heard there is one to be had but I don’t know where. The plastic Tamiya deck lines disappear with paint. I would like a wooden one to stain…Thanks for any help offered…Bill Barber (NJ)kist

I haven’t heard of any after market wooden deck for the Bismark. However, your best bet would be to explore the possibility of making one from small scale wooden strips; usually model train stores carry quite a variety of scale wood. I haven’t covered a BB’s decks with wood, but did up a WW II carrier diorama using real wood.

Bill, try micromark.com They have prescribed sheets of basswood that should be good for what you want, either way your looking at alot of work !! Good luck !![:)] Silas
