I am an engineer at biotech company in Menlo Park, CA. I have a few small prototypes that need to be painted. Simple white with gold pinstripes. Each model has flat plastic surfaces and is only about 4sq in. Willing to FedEx them anywhere in the US but they need to be done soon. My email is ken.hawthorn at gmail.com and phone is 408-480-290two
What do they look like and how many do you have Ken?
What biotech company? My brother worked for Applied Biosystems a while back.
Not sure I could take it on or not but it doesn’t hurt to ask. I am across the bay from you in Hayward.
The company I work for is LamdaGen in Menlo Park. The part is 4x8 centimeters and about 0.75cm thick. It looks like a very, very small remote control with two buttons on it. I am happy to send you a picture of it. There are two curved lines that need to be painted on a white surface as well as a recessed logo. I could laser cut a mask from the CAD drawing and spray paint it, but forsee less that great results if I do it myself.

I have two that need painting.
Ken, so you need two curved lines painted on it as well as a logo?
4 x 8 centimeters would be about 1-1/2 x 3" which is pretty small.
Send me a photo and what you are considering. If I can’t do it I may be able to put you into contact with people who can.

Mike,
Did you get that email? Even if you can’t do it I would love to be put into contact with someone who can.

Ken,
I could probably do it but since this is a prototype I assume you want it to look professional.
Painting those gold pinstripes and the logo would probably require hand brushing which may not look like something that was produced in a factory if you understand what I mean.
Mike, At this point we really need to find someone to give it a shot. I would say the existing one looks nice, but not factory either. Would it be possible to meet you in person or ship these to you an have you take a look at them? What we are shooting for is the level of quality that already exisits.
We had hired a model painter to paint the first one. We got that person’s name from a hobbyshop, but they are no longer taking on contract work.
Thanks Ken but with my crazy work schedule I don’t think I would be able to do it realistically.
Sorry.
