As my next is the detailed Sturmtiger engine bay, I am looking for any pics of a late engine bay (with or without engine). All available seem to be early chassis. I have emailed Munster and asked for permission to take pics but got no answer :(.
Well hehehehe … actually an eraly engine bay is what you need. most Sturmtigers were built on old early production chassis that were “upgraded” with the new steel road wheels and had the feifel filters removed.
That being said, engine bay pics are oddly enough hard to find. The reason Munster haven’t answered might be that they no longer has a late tiger or Sturmtiger for that matter. Those they had were on loan from Saumur, France and Koblenz, Germany but they have been returned.
Many thanks - great info - Bovvie site has some great pics of an early bay which I can use. I did get an email from Sisheim saying that their Sturmtiger was at Munster, maybe its still there?

Well I knew the Tiger I had been returned, so I just guessed the Sturmtiger had been returned as well, but it may still be there. It has been a while since I last talked to my contact there.
