need sound advice.

anyone who has seen my photography in this forum knows that my shooting is substandard, camera is a terrible little device called a poloroid pdc 3030,takes some decent pictures of much larger objects but models are out of the question.what i would like to know is what some of you fellow forum members use .and what is a good digital camera, that wont break the bank.i have heard that canon’s offerings are good.thanks guys your input will be greatly appreciated.

Doh, one sec, seems to be a decent cam that should make some better pics. Let me check the manual for something

Well, I skimmed thourgh the manual and didnt see what I was looking for. I was hoping it would have a “macro” setting. Pretty much need for anything up close like some of the shots of cockpit interiors and such. When you do go to buy another one, make sure it has a macro setting and you will be able to get some good closeups.

Good advice. I have a Kodak Easyshare DX6440. Only 4mp. I imagine my camerawork sucks. I have learned that natural lighting is a huge plus when taking pics.

Here is one that I was thinking about getting.

Canon S3IS

Get a free 1gb Mem Card if you buy it from that site too.

I use a kodak easyshare CD33 3.1 mega pixels and although it aint the best in the world it was only $80 bucks and it works well enough for me and has been for goin on 2 years now so you dont need a top of the line just something with a macro setting and a minimum of 3+ mega pixels.

Ron.

Correct, and you take great pics and how you take them has a lot to do with the quality.
