I’m currently working on converting a 1/72 Hobby Craft C-45 Expediter into an F-2. No real problems until I noticed there was no exhaust stacks for either engine in the kit (and they are prominent). No problems, I have two PM kits (C-45 and AT11) I can probably steal a set of exhausts out of - Wrong! - out of 4 1/72 kits of this thing I have not a single exhaust stack - they don’t even have a location on the nacelle for them!
What I am trying to find is either a kit that has some exhaust stacks that will work or even better the diameter of the exhaust stack on a 1 to 1 C-45 so I can scratch build what I neef

Hmm- just finished a couple of D-18s (C-45 but in civil markings). Last kit was an encore, first was the PM kit. Had to look, but the PM kit doesn’t include stacks- never noticed! The Encore kit does.
I just finished up a 72nd 18, and I made the exhaust stacks from solder. You will have to deepen the recesses in the nacelles, then a short piece of solder can be shaped into an elbow and super glued in there. You can, if you’re careful, drill out the end a little to hollow it and thin the edges.
Don - Thanks for the info - decided to take advantage of the 30 per cent off sale at Squadron and ordered the Encore C-45 and an Airfix P-40B.
Ashley - Thank you for the suggestion of using solder - I was planning to create the exhaust stacks out of sprue but solder will be easier (some times ya sorta get target fixation if ya know what I mean)
John - Thank you for you site - got it bookmarked since I now have several c-45/Twin Beeches to build.
