Hey Guys and Gals, I am mainly a aircraft model builder but I have a someone who has done a few small favors for me. I wanted to build a model of a 1967 GTO that he is in the process of restoring. I am going to order the MPC kit but I wanted to add some aftermarket items to it. What sites have a good selection of aftermarket accesories for model cars? I am mainly interested in putting replacement wheels and redline tires on it. I might change out the engine also. Any suggestestions would be appeciated. Thanks
I’m not a automotive modeler usually but car guys please correct me if I’m wrong but the MPC kit isn’t a great kit to represent this build. I’ve heard car builders often refer to MPC to mean a “Massive Pile of C- - -”! I’d look to a different manufacturer if there is one for this year and make.

The Revell-Monogram '66 GTO is a much better kit, but the '66 and '67 have a little different grille and taillight treatments. Depending on how much detail you want, using the '67 only MPC parts to change the year of the '66 kit might yield better results.
I’ve done that type of kitbash on other cars, but not a GTO. It usually is not a lot of work and makes a convincing conversion.
For excellent aftermarket detail parts in general, Detail Master and Model Car Garage are hard to beat.
As to wheels and tires, AMT has done sets that are widely available both from sites like Ebay and Amazon, and from online hobby outlets like Hobbylinc.
Cheers, and good luck with your project! [Y]
Greg’s said what I was gonna say. I’ll second Scale - Masters idea too.
