Need some help

When I set up this room for modeling I took every effort to make it proof from the carpet monster and other related demons but to no avail it seems.

I am working on a 1/25 Ford Louisville delivery truck and am installing the headlights when ‘PING’ one round lense scoots off the desk. I hear it hit the hardwood floor once and only once. After hours of crawling around the floor, wiping the floor with a damp cloth, turning the lights off and shining a flashlight across the floor I have given up. That lense is gone, floor is very clean but lense is gone.

Now I ask for your help, I need a round clear lense in 1/24 or 1/25. I can sand it down a little to match but don’t think I can make the cross-hatch pattern to match the other one. If you have one in your spares box please help out a fellow frustrated modeler.

PM me your snail mail addy. I’ve got a couple I could send your way!

Swanny,

When the carpet monster ate a headlight cover off a car that had a perfectly round headlight for me, I was able to replace it from the crafts store - Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, etc.

I found the “googly eyes” were perfect - heck, I don’t even know what craft people use them for, but they are in the area of the store with beads and stuff - were perfect. They come in different sizes, six or eight in a pack for a buck or so. And looking at the stock inspired me to build a 1970’s van conversion with a big round bulged porthole. (haven’t actually done that yet, but I know where the bulged round window will come from when I do…)

Good luck,

Rick
