Anyone know about how to do the following: On a 1/350 scale ship, when your attaching the Photo etch railings, when you come to two corners, close together, and the stanchions dont fall on those corners, what do you do? How do you make the stanchions meet up at every corner, know matter how far apart the corners are from each other?

Try cutting the verticle post so all you have is the 3 or 4 rails left and attach them to the verticle post this makes it look like its one continues rail… HTH
HI, I have to admit I haven,t done p.e. that long, but, thats not the point is it? When I find a corner like that, What I dois this, I make my bend as sharp as I can and later put in a stanchion. Sometimes I have found that it,s best to start at such a corner. The next run of rail can then brought up to itminus the stanchion. Just remember when you do this to put a teensy dropof glue on each rail and they won,t get bent out of shape. tankerbuilder
I start at the corner and fudge it in the middle. Thats the old tilesetters trick. People look at edges more than they do middles. Just my [2c].

What bondoman says is valid. Not all stanchions are uniformly spaced on a ship anyway. There are longer and shorter runs of railings,
Another vote for Bondo’s approach. If you have to botch, do it where it’ll be less likely to be noticed. The eye is naturally drawn to corners, so do any adjustments of lenght well away from them.
