need some figs for my quad and 25 pdr.

can anyone point me to some good canadian or british figures?? I would like them to go with my figure lacking (except 1) quad gun tractor and 25 pdr.

Hmm, I checked my trusty Squadron Catalog and came up short…[sigh]
I did notice that netmodelshop.com had a sweet British Artillery Officer in 1/35 from Verlinden. Otherwise, no luck man. Sorry.

I am thinking in the back of my mind that dragon has both CDN and BRT soldiers, but I can’t find them.

Chris,
I have the crew that came with the gun by itself. They are in firing poses and dressed in desert uniform (shorts and some with no shirts). I will never redo my gun or paint these guys so if you want them, send me your snail mail address and I will send them out.

Chris,

Try this web site they have a few offerings. Just search for british figures.

I am also working on the Quad and gun. I found some british figures at Hobbytown for $3 and I believe they were from Dragon. I think it even came with a tent and some accessories. I’ll go back and check again. I passed them up for $3 I wasn’t sure what I would get. I kind of gave up looking and will just use the single kit figure.[:(]

thank you very much for your offer, i really appreciate it, but I’m going to do the canadian version from
France '44. thanks anyways!!![:)][8D]

It depends. If you want a set of figures actually serving the gun, you may have problems, since nothing injection-moulded springs to mind. However, if you just want ordinary British squaddies in non-combat poses, both Tamiya and Dragon make sets. Both are fairly easy to modify into more gunner-like poses, and the Tamiya set is especially good value.

You can use the driver from the Quad, replacing his legs with a pair from, say, the cheap but otherwise awful Italeri Allied truck driver set. They’ve got no detail, but are easy enough to modify, and, when the driver is in place, you can’t see them anyway!

Hope this helps,

Chris.

Try this link to view verlindens line:

Not much out there right now for plastic, but you should be able to adapt a couple of sets of these to your needs with a little parts swapping.

I’ll porbably get the arty officer from verlinden, and infantry sets from tamiya and/or dragon, and try to convert them.

Rgr that… I frankensteined a group of russian figures to make what I wanted for the Towed GB.
