Need some basecoat help!!!

Hi gang!!
Been a while since i posted, but i just moved and finaly got my own hobby room / computer room. but anyways… i dug some model kits i had stored in the attic out when i moved and i found a Tamiya Mobelwagen Kit, 3.7mm Flak. I am almost finished assembling the kit, and about ready to paint, but i need some help on a base coat. I have a lot of Tamiya acrylic military colors, and some W&N enamel paints. I have the future floor wax, and pretty much can get my hands on anything you recommend. I was told to do a basecoat do the whole thing in a darker color, then hilight the flat areas with a lighter shade? can someone give me the recipe for the basecoat, and the next layer???

i want to do a finish something like this one…

thanks in advance!!

try the armor forum joe, they may be able to fix you up with a formula quicker my friend. i’m not quite sure what you’re shooting for, but when doing cammo, you work from lightest to darkest colors. on the other hand, i read an article once and the fellow sprayed his entire piece of armor flat black and then worked his way back with the cammo colors and ended up doing a winter wash. it looked most excellent too!! i tried it on a scrap model and did a weather cammo job over it and it worked nicely. it gave the paint job an added dimension. talk to some folks over in armor though and they should be able to help you out. good luck. later.

ok ill throw a post up in there also thanks =)
