I am a retired USAF N.C.O. am trying to build 1/48 or 1/72 scale models of all the aircraft I worked on during my career. I am trrying to locate 2 kits of the following aircraft: A F-100 Super Sabre from the European (england) in the 1960’s and a T-28 Trojan (Veit Nam era) late 60’s in Thailand. Any help in locating these will be appreciated.

For the F-100D, Monogram has produced one off and on for the last 30-ish years, at least one in 20th TFW markings. Trumpeter has just released a D in both 1/48 and 1/72, but I don’t know what markings they have. There are a lot of aftermarket decals available, so you’ll be able to build an England-based jet. The Monogram kit is far more accurate than Trumpeter’s, but is a bit fiddly to build. Trump’s is more expensive, but easier to build and looks like an F-100 from three feet. Revell, ESCI, and Italeri had nice F-100Ds in 1/72. Hasegawa had one, too, but it’s a lot older and not as nice a kit as the other three. Trumpeter has an F-100C in 1/48 and 1/72. They have accuracy issues, but aren’t too hard to build. AMT had a 1/72 F-100F, but as of right now, the only way to get one in 1/48 is a vacuform or resin conversion of the Monogram D. Trumpeter is suppposed to be releasing a 1/48 F-100F some time this year.
Monogram had a 1/48 T-28 that was pretty basic. I think they may have re-released it within the last couple of years, so you might be able to find on at an online hobby shop pretty easily. I think it had trainer markings from the '50s or early '60s, and no SEA camo options. Others will know more about that kit.

You may want to try looking on Ebay. Ive seen kits of both of the aircraft youre looking for within the last few days. Probably get `em cheaper there than at the LHS anyway. Happy hunting!
Monogram did do a T-28D with Viet Nam weapon load, but most releases were T-28A or B. Good shapes but weak on fine detail.
