There are a few kit reviews that I could find but no “build” reviews. Can anyone point me to some build reviews? Does anyone here have experience building any of ICM’s 1/350 WWI battleships?
I may attempt one if the opinions of FineScale members are positive.

If you go to www.modelshipwrights.com and type in a search for the ICM 1/350 Markgraf, there is a build log that is pretty informative. The modeler uses White Ensign photo-etch, brass barrels and Artwok wooden deck in the build and does a really nice job.
I was trying to pick one up on evilBay a couple of weeks ago that was going for around $14 and was missing the decal sheet but got busy helping the boys with homework and someone else got her. I was planning on building her for the WW1 group build here but now I am going to build the Trumpeter 1/350 HMS Dreadnought instead. I would say go for it, the kit builds into a really nice model of a underrepresented genre.

I now have four 1/350 warships from around or predating WWI. The Trumpeter Dreadnought (1915), Revell’s S.M.S. Emden, Hasegawa’s IJN Mikasa, and Zvezda’s Protected Cruiser Varyag. With all my aircraft and ships in my stash I’ll be 110 before either A) I’ve built them all, or B) I’ll be food for earthworms.

I have the ICM ‘Konig’ unbuilt, but it looks like a good kit, I certainly wasn’t disappointed when I opened the box.
Zvezda Varyag turns out nice with the White Ensign etch and Master gun barrels. So much so that I have a second set of kit/etch/barrels but with the addition of a Hunter wood deck!

One of the most enjoyable models I’ve ever had!
