does anyone have the dimensions of 1/35 current MRE boxes and water cases? i want to scratchbuild my own, and i need some dimensions, and advice. i was going to use styrene sheet, but just now thought of trying to use cardboard box or something. help anyone?

Some kits come with MRE packs printed on paper sheets that you can cut and fold. Perhaps someone may be able to scan one for you.

They are printed on paper but if you printed then on cardstock and stained them (an old teabag like for sails maybe) they would turn out pretty good. Very realistic. I assume you are using them in an afv build, here’s an interesting idea: have one box with a flap torn off and the flap being used as a postcard. It is one off those classic things done in the military. It’s like a Tabasco bottle.
I use brown paper grocery bags to print them onto. Simply cut out an 8 1/2" x 11" piece and run it through your printer. They are the perfect color and the right weight to look like 1/35 cardboard.
