Hello. I noticed that Zvezda has some good plane models.
Can you guys give me some info on the Zvezda quality?
From what I heard, their armor kits are on the Ok side, not the best, not the worse.

For aircraft they are the same as armour, not the best, not the worst. A lot of Zvesda kits are being reboxed as Italeri. That should give you some reference as to the quality.
Zvezda seems to have been taking their quality up a bit in the past year or so.
I built their 1/72 SU-35 a few years back and it was really rough, but their newer stuff like their 1/72 MiG 1.44 and MiG-21 “Phantom Killer” look pretty decent in the box.
I’d call them inconsistent but improving. Their decals are a real weak point though.
I’ve seen a 1/72 SU-24 Fencer in Zvezda boxing recently and I’m hoping my LHS will let me look in the box. I haven’t heard anything about it, but I’m hoping its a new tooling and not the old Italeri/Dragon kit from the 80’s
What I’ve seen from Svezda, I could only say: it S*CKS !!!
I bought the 1/72 Su-30 Naval Flaker and it’s really bad, it cost a fortune, has big raised panel lines, has a wrong shape, and needs tons, really a lot of Putty !!!
I’ve built the MiG 1.44 and it’s a gem. Certainly better than Airfix ect. Great fit but I agree withthe decals- they could use some work.
They are a real mixed bag. Some are pretty good, some really bad. Best to check for reviews before you buy the kit.
