Ive searched as far as I
m able with my ISP search engine and on this and other forums and cant find what I
m looking for. I`m looking for an on line reference that shows the type and location of markings on Stuart M3 light tanks used by the USMC during WWII. Any help greatly appreciated.
I don’t have the info for you but I know that Ed Gilbert is preparing an article for the upcoming Boresight special on Stuarts. Keep an eye out for when that goes out OK?
See if you can get a copy of this book:
M3 STUART U.S. LIGHT TANKS IN ACTION
It is available from Squadron.com:

See item number SS 2025
Also you might want to get the Osprey publication they have as well.

I recommend the book, M3 and M4 Tanks in Pacific Combat 1942-1945, by Andre R. Zbiegniewski (ISBN 83-89088-38-X) and published by Kagero. It includes 10 sets of markings in 1/35 and 1/72 scale. One of the sets is for an M3A1 used by the USMC 1st Armored Battalion on the Solomon Islands in 1943.
The decals are made by Techmod.
