good day! i am confused on what color is to be used for armors in vietnam and in ww2? is it olive green for vietnam and olive drab for ww2? i think olive drab is too dark (tamiya acrylics) for ww2 as compared to references, are there any alternative colors that can be applied to these armor? im using tamiya hobby paints.
for WWII, i know that olive drab is correct. tamiya’s olive drab is darker. model master’s is a bit lighter, and this is the one I’ve been using. You could also try to lighten tamiya’s color with a light tan or something. then again, it might not make a difference, as the elements and the rear repair shops made variations on the paint color due to whatever.
i cant tell you about vietnam era vehicles, as i dont model much in that era, but there shoudl be someone along soon who can answer that question.
