Im trying to make a HMMWV for OIF I, when I saw this ride with a weird antenna.
It’s not FBCB2 or H-Band Satellite external Antenna either, anybody has an idea?

Are you sure it’s an antenna? It looks like it could be for air intake or an exhaust outlet to me.
Or maybe something in the background.
Hey vertex !!
My guess would be what is called a “warlock” !! What it does is put out a jamming signal to IED’S . They like to use cell phones and such to set them off and that jams the singnal ! I hope that helped !
LEE !!
TD4438: I dont think its an exhaust or something, as I saw a video of this being extended before they go travelling, and I saw some wires too.
Bones1977: Is it called ‘WARLOCK’? based on your opinion, it is an Jamming Antenna. Thanks man.

Here’s another image:
I’ve searched about “Warlock Anti-IED” systems, it has a flat antenna just like what they use in BFT.
After conferring with our EWO (electronics warfare officer), the device in question is an ECM antenna similar to a Warlock, it’s called Symphony. We don’t see many here in Afghanistan. I hope this helps.
Thanks for your info, tellis. I think it’s an ECM (electronic counter-measure) or some kind of a jammer. Just don’t have an idea what it’s called. Thanks again.
