I’m sure everyone has their favorite schemes for the Marauder. It wasn’t the most colorful aircraft in the 9th Air Force, nor was it the least. Same in the Pacific theater early in the war. Personally, though I’ve never built one in this scheme, I like the half-OD, half-natural metal scheme with a diagonal stripe on the tail. Better dig up Squadron’s B-26 in Action. Don’t know if that one’s currently in print, but somebody should have it. Best of luck and welcome to the site.

I agree with sharkskin, I like the B-26 with the half OD half NM scheme. Its actually closer to 3/4 NM with the top 1/4 being OD. I got one of these the other day and Im building it in this scheme.
i have a revell from germany kit of a 1/72 B-26 and i have mine half od and half nm.
If you have limited experience, I have an idea for an easier scheme, and you can use your invasion stripes. You still need reference photos, but that’s not hard to locate for this: Do the usual OD-over-neutral gray undersides. Then spray the trailing edges of the upper flying surfaces (wings and hor. and vert. stabilizers) with irregular blotches of medium green. You’ll like the result, especially with some big yellow B-26 squadron or wing markings on the waist or tail.
thank you sharkskin, daveb.inva and gunney hope these tips will be in handy use!
i have the squadron signal B-26 in action, if you want i may scan some colored pics and e mail them to you, tell me what you say…
Regards
Hector.
For a lot of B-26 Marauder photos, use google, type in Martin B-26, click on images,
and then search. Lots of photos out there both exterior and interior.
It’s one of my favorite airplanes. During WWII, my Father was in the 22nd Bomb Group
which was the first group to fly the B-26 in combat.
