need advice for future as final gloss coat for bodies

i am working on the tamiya enzo, and i want to use future as a gloss coat.
when should i spray it, should i thin it, and anything else you can impart to me , i would be very greatful.

thanks

I know a lot of blokes spray Future but I prefer to brush paint in thin coats straight out of the bottle with a flat wide brush kept specifically for that purpose. Future has remarkable self levelling properties and you can control the Future’s application much better with the brush.

Adding more coats adds to the glossiness and with practice you can achieve the degree of glossiness really well. The Airfix 1:72 DH-88 Comet had 14 thin brush painted coats and it has a very glossy finish

cheers

Mike

Make sure you give the paint plenty of time to cure before you apply the futre other wise the future may crack as the paint dries.

HEY,
If you spray it like most do, dont thin it, you dont need to, and clean your AB right after using it with windex or other ammonia based cleaner.

Randy

is it ok to mist it lightly or will that cause pebbling ? im mainly worried about that

I put it on thick, one thing to watch out for though is it pooling up along the bottom of the body, just keep a paper towel handy to wick away the excess. I have also had a bad result of it getting sprayed on windows, made them look foggy but was easy to remove with some windex.

that defies logic, isnt future supposed to be the miracle juice for windows?

When you dip them in it, i was spraying with my airbrush and i guess it got on them in little specs and dried. Dipping clear parts though makes them look clearer.
